Darts Alberta is excited to announce that DARTS has been selected as one of the sports that will compete in the first-ever Alberta Masters Games which will be held in Rocky Mountain House from August 22-25, 2019.
Although Darts is included in the Alberta 55-plus Games, darts is not included in the Alberta Winter or Summer Games, nor the Canada Games. So this is an exciting time for Darts Alberta and our sport!
Competitors in the Alberta Masters Games must be between the age of 30 and 54.
Do you have what it takes to be crowned the First-ever Alberta Masters Champion?
The format will be very similar to the Darts Alberta Provincial Championships with some exceptions:
- A one-day zone play-off will be held in zones throughout Alberta
- The zone play-off will be a round robin to a single knockout draw
- The Alberta Masters Games will be held over 2 days for total points
- Each day the Masters Games will consist of a round robin to a double knockout draw
- The Male and Female Alberta Masters Games Champions will be the person with the most points earned from the Double Knockout Draw over the two days (points are the same as the points earned to make Team Alberta)
