Awards for Top Ranked Youth

The Darts Alberta Youth Ranking System began in May 2004 with the launching of the first-ever youth ranked tournament in Canada at the Silver Cup Challenge in Red Deer. With more youth Darts Alberta ranked competitions added to the list, the top ranked youth members are now being recognized with awards for their achievement of being the Number One Ranked Youth Competitor on their respective ranking list.

The Youth Ranking System consists of four ranking lists – Senior Male, Junior Male, Senior Female and Junior Female. Youth members have the opportunity to earn points not only in the ranked singles events but also in the Junior/Senior Youth Draw Doubles events. Points accumulate from October 1to September 30 annually.

Congratulations are extended to the following individuals for receiving this inaugural award recognition, as of September 30, 2007:
Vanessa Janes – #1 Ranked Senior Female Matthew McIsaac – #1 Ranked Senior Male
Brittany Dalton – #1 Ranked Junior Female Chris Moss – #1 Ranked Junior Male

Each of the 2007 #1 Ranked Award Winners will receive a Darts Alberta Jacket and singles entry into any Darts Alberta Adult Ranked Tournament in an effort to embrace the competitive spirit and encourage participation at a high level of competition. Our adult competitors may need to sharpen up their darts as the next generation of athletes are honing their skills to compete in more adult ranked competitions.
All ties on the Darts Alberta ranking list shall be resolved by the final 'position' attained at the most recently held provincial championship.
