The Elks Team Alberta Dart Team participated in the 2012 Elks National Dart tournament 22-26 May in Okotoks, AB. 

Team Alberta won the overall team award by more than 20 points and set the bar very high for daily points for each of the individual events.

1st - Sandra Milne
2nd - Pricella Caines

2nd - Chris Hatton and Joel Turcotte

1st - Pricella Caines and Doreen MacIntosh
Mixed Quads
1st - Ron MacLeod, Tracy Scharfl, Sandra Milne and Pat Riehl
Mens Quads
1st - Gary Spurway, Ron MacLeod, Tracy Scharfl and Richard Calicio
 
There were a lot of Joint thirds and fifths which contributed significantly to the overall points.  It was a well hosted event with good representation from most provinces.
 
Darts Alberta provided funding from grants for many of the team’s players. Since some players otherwise may not have been able to travel, compete and represent Alberta at this event without the additional financial support, an expression of gratitude was extended to Darts Alberta.
We will hope to see a repeat of this great performance by the Elks Team Alberta next year at the Nationals which will be hosted in Penticton, B.C.
