Intermediate Development Award
Congratulations to the winners of the draw for the 2009 Intermediate Development Award.
Men’s Ranking List Award –
Fred Seaward
Women’s Ranking List Award –
Judy Johns
Some of you have noticed a new column on the full Ranking
lists, called ‘participation points’.

As a means to thank members for supporting the competitive environment and to encourage members of all skill levels to compete in DA-ranked tournaments, each time you enter a singles event at a DA-ranked tournament, you will receive one participation point.
Each member will receive “one draw entry” for each participation point they have
earned throughout the season, with the exception of the two men and two women that have already earned the elite development award.
One man and one woman will be drawn from the accumulated entries.
The winners will receive $250 toward expenses directly related to participating in an upcoming DA-ranked tournament. The intent of this program is to encourage members to travel to compete in more out of town competitions. Therefore it is expected that the winners utilize the funding to participate in a DA-ranked tournament outside their area of residence - an event they may not otherwise participate in without this funding.
This initiative has been funded in part by:
