Darts Alberta recently partnered with Husky/Mohawk for their Loyalty Rebate Program. As a result, DA will receive a 2% rebate for all purchases made by their members, using their Rebate card.
The DA Executive is well aware that this program will not be a success without the support of our Member Leagues and their membership.
There is no administration on the part of the Member Leagues or their members. DA simply wants to encourage our members to use their Rebate cards in support of DA initiatives.
Use your card and Win!
As an incentive, the top Rebate card user
each year will earn $100 in Husky gas certificates from
Husky/Mohawk. To be eligible to win, have your card swiped for
the gas and other items that you were already purchasing
anyway.
Although neither the Member Leagues nor DA
will be tracking individual card numbers issued, we will know
which Member League that card was issued to. At the end of the
season, DA will simply advertise the Card Number that has
earned the highest total rebate and which Member League that
individual is a member of. If after 60 days the winner has not
come forward to claim the incentive, the gas certificates will
be issued to that league and can be used for other draws,
awards or incentives.
To encourage member leagues to promote the
program, a rebate of ¾ of a percent (0.75%) will be refunded
to each Member League for all rebates earned on behalf of your
members. Leagues can use these additional fundraising dollars
for any member league program such as reducing your cost of DA
Membership, adding the sponsorship funds to tournament
payouts, or simply to reduce your administrative costs. DA has
kept a list of all card numbers issued to each league and
rebates will be forwarded based on rebates earned from these
segmented cards. A rebate cheque will be issued annually at
your League banquets.
More money at AGM
To further encourage members to utilize the card, 25% of the
remaining net profit (after league portion and high earner
prize deducted) will be added to the current prize issued at
the DA AGM Shoot.

Frequently Asked Questions
 Are only members of the organization allowed to use the program, or can friends and families use it as well?
No, if a non-member spouse or parent would be the most frequent user, please feel free to provide them with your card or ask your member league for an additional card.
Will I be issued a new card every year? No. If you don’t renew your membership, feel free to continue using the card. Your support is appreciated.
What happens if my card is lost or stolen? There is absolutely no risk to yourself or the organization as this is not a credit card and none of your personal information is attached to the card. If this should happen, simply ask your member league or the DA Administrator for a new card.
Are there any incentives to my league when I use the card?
Yes! DA receives a 2% rebate from all member purchases and a portion of that rebate is provided back to each member league, based on their members’ usage.
Are there any incentives for me when I use the card? Absolutely! At the end of the season, the member card that has earned the highest rebate will be eligible to receive $100 in Husky Mohawk Gas Certificates.
I have CAA and personally receive a similar rebate. Can I use both cards? No, you must choose one or the other. Although DA recognizes that it is unlikely that individuals would use their DA Card instead of their CAA card, why not consider at least one tank of gas per year.
The 2% rebate doesn’t sound like much, is it worth it for DA participate? Yes, since there is no cost to DA. If each member used the card just once for a $40 tank of gas each year, this would equate to over $1,200 worth of sponsorship dollars back to your provincial association. Just
imagine the sponsorship funds that DA and their Member Leagues can raised if each member swiped their card on a regular basis!!
Are all purchases eligible for the Rebate Program?
The only exclusions are tobacco and lottery products and the purchase of gas certificates, and there are some restrictions regarding bulk corporate purchases.
Am I required to provide any identification when using the card? No. Simply ask the retailer to swipe your card when you make a purchase.
Do I have to pay by cash in order to use the card?
When using the card, you can buy by any means, including credit card, debit or cash. So if you have a credit card with some sort of incentive or points program, you can still earn those rewards and earn DA important fundraising dollars.
How will DA use this sponsorship?
A total of 25% of the net profit will be added to the current prize money for the DA AGM Shoot. So, as a member, you’re in direct control of how much extra sponsorship funds can be added to this tournament payout. The remaining 75% of the net profit will be used to offset the cost associated with other programs and services offered by DA, including maintaining a low annual membership fee.
Why does DA need more sponsorship dollars since we already have Alberta Sport funding and Gaming Proceeds from a casino every 2 years?
With regard to casino funding, DA is very limited to what Gaming Proceeds can be used for. With regard to Alberta Sport funding, the organization’s self-sufficiency is one of the key criteria that is taken into consideration during our annual review. Programs such as this will ensure that DA continues to receive funding through Alberta Sport.
Can I my swipe card at every Husky and Mohawk station?
Yes, you can use the card at any of the 550 Husky and Mohawk outlets across Canada.
